The following are required to obtain a Business Visa for Kazakhstan
Attention: According to the procedure of issuing visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, one month single entry business, tourist and private visas will be issued to citizens of 45 countries, including the United States of America, without invitations from Kazakhstan, on the basis of their personal or companies' written statements submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Washington, DC.
The list of such countries includes: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA, United Arab Emirates, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Republic of Cyprus, Malta, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sultanate of Oman.

PASSPORT
- Original signed passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your requested stay.
- Your passport must have at least 2 clear blank visa pages available for the visa stamp(s).
- EDS can obtain passport services for you on your behalf if needed. Please see our PASSPORT section.
APPLICATION FORM
- Visa application form completed and signed. All questions on the application form must be answered. Failure to complete all required fields on the form will delay the processing of your visa.
PHOTOGRAPHS
- One recent 2" X 2" passport type photograph, in color, front view, and with a plain light background.
LETTER OF INVITATION
- Required only if you apply for a Double or Multiple visa for up to one year. A copy of an Official Invitation from a host organization in Kazakhstan is needed. EDS CAN PROVIDE THIS SERVICE IF REQUESTED. This letter must be submitted by the host organization in Kazakhstan to the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Department of Consular Services must provide the host company with a reference number. In addition, a cover letter fro the applicant\'s company, briefly summarizing the purpose of the visit and including some information about the company or organization should be attached.
COVER LETTER
- A letter from your company (or from yourself if traveling individually) with information on the traveler, destination, and terms and purpose of the trip.
OTHER DOCUMENTS
None required.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Single entry business, tourist, and private (up to one month) visas will be issued to citizens of 28 developed nations, including the United States of America, without invitations from Kazakhstan, on the basis of their personal or company\'s written statements submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Washington, DC.
- Visas cannot be changed or extended. If your travel plans change after the visa is issued you will need to re-apply for a new one.
- All foreign citizens must register at the local Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan or at the hotel within 72 hours upon arrival to Kazakhstan. Otherwise, they will be fined by the Immigration Service on departure.
- Also note: Any visa applicant may be interviewed by a consular officer if necessary.
PAYMENT
- The consulate only accepts United States Postal Money Orders for the cost of the visas. If you prefer, EDS can obtain the money order for the consulate. EDS accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express. Money orders and cash are also accepted.

When you have completed the visa application form, the EDS Service Request form, and this pre-shipping checklist, you may send all of your documents to the address below. We recommend using FedEx, UPS, DHL, or the USPS Express Mail for next-day delivery.
