The following are required to obtain a Tourist Visa for Kazakhstan
Attention: According to the procedure of issuing visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, one month single entry business, tourist and private visas will be issued to citizens of 45 countries, including the United States of America, without invitations from Kazakhstan, on the basis of their personal or companies' written statements submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Washington, DC.
The list of such countries includes: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA, United Arab Emirates, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Republic of Cyprus, Malta, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sultanate of Oman.

PASSPORT
- Original signed passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your requested stay. Your passport must have at least 2 clear blank visa pages available for the visa stamp(s). EDS can obtain passport services for you on your behalf if needed. Please see our PASSPORT section.
APPLICATION FORM
- Visa application form completed and signed. NOTE: There are usually two available forms. All questions on the application form must be answered. Failure to complete all required fields on the form will delay the processing of your visa.
PHOTOGRAPHS
- One recent 2" X 2" passport type photograph, in color, front view, and with a plain light background.
LETTER OF INVITATION
- For Double or Multiple entry visa: Telex of confirmation from authorized hotel.
- EDS can provide this service if requested.
COVER LETTER
- A Letter of Intent: Addressed to the Embassy of Kazakhstatn, detailing the contact person name and address (if any), plan of the trip, full address of the hotel, length of stay and purpose of the trip.
OTHER DOCUMENTS
- Proof of Departure: Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent. (for tourist visas applicants only).
IMPORTANT NOTES
- A single entry business, tourist, and private (up to one month) visa will be issued to citizens of 28 developed nations, including the United States of America, without invitations from Kazakhstan, on the basis of their personal or company's written statements submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Washington, DC.
- Visas cannot be changed or extended. If your travel plans change after the visa is issued you will need to re-apply for a new one.
- All foreign citizens must register at the local Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan or at the hotel within 72 hours upon arrival to Kazakhstan. Otherwise, they will be fined by the Immigration Service on departure.
- Maximum stay in Kazakhstan: 30 days
- Also note: Any visa applicant may be interviewed by a consular officer if necessary.
PAYMENT
The consulate only accepts United States Postal Money Orders for the cost of the visas. If you prefer, EDS can obtain the money order for the consulate. EDS accepts VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express. Money orders and cash are also accepted.

When you have completed the visa application form, the EDS Service Request form, and this pre-shipping checklist, you may send all of your documents to the address below. We recommend using FedEx, UPS, DHL, or the USPS Express Mail for next-day delivery.
